Measure your BILLY for crown molding

Start with the outside cabinet width

Count Wide and Narrow bookcases separately. Measure the outside of each cabinet, not the shelf opening inside it.

• Wide BILLY: 80 cm / approximately 31.5 in.
• Narrow BILLY: 40 cm / approximately 15.75 in.
• Write down their order from left to right, as they stand in your room.

Check the depth and the tops

The standard crown kit is for 28 cm / approximately 11 in deep BILLY bookcases. Ask us about compatibility before ordering for deeper 39 cm bookcases or a different furniture model.

For a connected straight row, the fronts should align and the tops should be at the same height. Check your actual arrangement, especially if you use height extensions or have an uneven floor.

Leave room above the bookcases

The crown extends approximately 2 inches above the cabinet top. Measure the clearance to the ceiling or anything above the bookcase. If the fit is tight, send us a photo and the measurement before ordering.

Check for nearby walls, ceiling trim and other obstacles. The 3D view shows the kit on the furniture; it does not measure your room.

Build the arrangement you measured

Open the planner and add the Wide and Narrow cabinets in their actual order. You can switch measurement labels between inches and centimetres.

Select your bookcase finish, check the coordinating molding colour, then choose Review kit. Confirm the cabinet count, molding colour and price before adding it to your cart. Both wall-end options are included; there is no separate wall-end step.
